Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician I / General Maintenance to perform preventative maintenance on various equipment and support production. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot components, and assist other maintenance staff.

Training and growth opportunities are available within Caterpillar Maintenance. Shift details include First Shift and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM hours, with some overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Six months minimum machine maintenance or related experience, or a recent technical degree/certificate.
• Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints and drawings.
• Top candidates have experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize work to meet production schedules.
• Operate equipment including forklift, man lift, overhead cranes and hoists.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• May perform maintenance at Brooklyn Park and Rogers, MN facilities.
