Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform preventative maintenance on facility machine centers and conduct simple repairs on production and building equipment in Brooklyn Park, MN.

The role supports other maintenance staff on projects and advanced maintenance tasks with oversight. The position operates on the first shift (06:00 AM - 02:00 PM) with potential overtime; Day-One benefits and a comprehensive package accompany the role, including 401(k) matching and annual wage

Qualifications

Six months minimum machine maintenance, vehicle/mechanic experience, or manufacturing line maintenance experience OR a recent technical degree or certificate in a related trades field to include maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret machine blueprint and drawings.
Six months combined minimum experience within Caterpillar Paving. Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance for facility machine centers and simple repairs on production equipment and systems.
Assist other maintenance colleagues on specified projects and advanced machines maintenance with oversight.
Coordinate and prioritize work to meet production schedules; use electronic maintenance system to manage work orders.
