Responsibilities

• Completes preventative maintenance (PM) on production equipment, forklifts, utilities, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment and components.
• Repairs and modifies production equipment; installs new equipment and systems.
• Completes machinist-type tasks and builds parts as needed.
• Performs calibration of production equipment.
• Maintains building and grounds; records management; safety and quality adherence.

Job description

Maintenance Technician I - 3rd Shift

Location: Osceola, WI

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Classification: Full-Time Non-exempt

Department: Maintenance

Summary/Objective

Troubleshoot and repair production process lines, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC issues. Perform preventative maintenance on production process lines and related equipment. Assist with equipment retrofits/upgrades as needed. Occasional painting of equipment or facility. Maintain building and grounds as needed. Perform calibration of equipment as needed (i.e. spark testers, etc.). Complete maintenance records.

Essential Functions

• Completes predictive maintenance (PM) work orders on production equipment, forklifts, water & air systems, building heating and cooling systems, and other auxiliary systems/equipment and ensures they are complete and on time
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic equipment/components
• Repair and modify production equipment; installation of new equipment & systems
• Completes machinist-type tasks-tooling and buillding special parts
• Perform calibration of production equipment
• Maintain building and grounds
• Records management both paper and electronic
• Promote safety and quality by demonstraiting correct processes, procedures, and appropriate handling of materials/tools/equipment
• All other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment working around moving and test equipment. Electrical test equipment presents exposure to high voltage. Approved PPE (e.g. safety glasses, steel-toed footwear) is required while working in the manufacturing area. Frequent lifting and maneuvering of reels required. Work involves close contact with oiled and greased equipment. Indoor and outdoor environmental work required. Work on high temperature machines with moving parts and live electrical panels is required. Working in the office environment involves computers in laboratory, phones, and other personnel in close proximity. Willing to work flexible hours if needed for business purposes.

Physical Demands

Lifting up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this position, the TEAM Member is frequently required to talk or listen to fellow TEAM Members. Using both hands for simple grasping/torqueing, firm grasping/torqueing and firm manipulation. Ability to use head and neck in static, frequent flexing/extension and frequent rotating positions. Ability to sit, stand and walk. PPE as needed: (e.g. safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, standard work gloves, heat resistant gloves, chemical resistant gloves).

Expected Hours Of Work

Monday through Friday with an estimated total of 40 hours per week. Schedule may fluctuate based on business needs with the potential of overtime.

Required Education

2-year technical degree or equivalent certification experience
