Job summary

Northwire, Inc. in Osceola, WI is seeking a Hall Operator for the 2nd shift to safely run production equipment and help meet quality and scheduling requirements.

You will operate re-spoolers and jacket stripper, perform setups, rework non-conforming material, and handle material weighing up to 200 pounds. The role requests a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience; forklift operation is a plus. Full-time, non-exempt in a climate-controlled plant.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Rework product per work instruction on non-conforming materials tags.
  • Manipulate and transfer reels of material weighing upwards of 200 pounds safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hall Operator - 2nd Shift

Works within a manufacturing environment running a variety of production equipment to make a quality product to meet customer requirements, and to meet production scheduling requirements. Reworks product per work instructions or non-conforming materials tags.

Essential Functions
  • Safely operate a variety of equipment (example: re-spoolers, jacket stripper) simultaneously to produce quality product
  • Follow set-up requirements
  • Rework product per work instruction on non-conforming material tags
  • Manipulate and transfer reel of material weighing upwards of 200 pounds safely
  • All other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Climate controlled production environment with floor to ceiling windows.

Physical Demands

Sit, stand and walk for 8 hours per shift or more if shift is extended. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must have the ability to do repetitive hand work with frequent handling, using fingers to feel, and wrists to twist and turn (dexterity). Ability and agility to work with both hands, frequently required be capable to listen to alarms, talk or listen to fellow Team Members. Must have the ability to climb stairs to railed platform working with high temperature plastics, to see with 20/20 vision (can be assisted with glasses or contact lenses) and the ability to distinguish between different colors. Able to wear PPE as needed: (e.g. safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, standard work gloves, heat sleeves, other).

Expected Hours Of Work

Hours of work are typically Monday through Friday with the opportunity for overtime based on business needs.

Travel may be expected for this position.

Required Education And Experience
High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Education And Experience
Manufacturing experience helpful. Basic computer and math skills. 1– 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred. Forklift operation preferred.
