Job summary

Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift (Tuesday through Saturday) to join our manufacturing team.

This entry-level role focuses on preventive maintenance of production equipment and collaboration with engineers and operators to support reliability and uptime. The successful candidate will perform PMs safely, document activities, and follow GMP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment or graduation from a maintenance-related trade school.
• Basic understanding of preventive maintenance principles.
• Ability to read and use a volt meter safely and effectively.
• Understand standard vs metric measurement systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn pharmaceutical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to obtain gown qualification for controlled environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision after training.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Report to the shift supervisor at the start of each shift and receive PM work orders.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and support equipment.
• Prioritize maintenance of out-of-service equipment to support quick turnaround.
• Complete all PMs accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain zero-overdue PM status by managing workload.
• Follow GMP and safety policies and pharmaceutical standards.
• Document completed PMs in CMMS and work orders.
• Utilize basic hand tools and volt meters for tasks.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Maintain housekeeping in maintenance areas.
