Zimmerman is now hiring for Maintenance Technician I

The Tech I position will work in the Streets, Parks, Water, and Sewer Departments under the direction and supervision of the Public Works Director and the Streets and Utilities Supervisor. Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Operation and maintenance of light to medium equipment;
2. Repair, maintenance, and plowing of city streets, sidewalks, and trails;
3. Monitoring and maintenance of water and sewer systems;
4. Maintenance and repair of city buildings, parks, and properties.

This position requires responding to emergencies after hours and rotating on-call duty evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED;
• A Class A driver's license;
• Experience in mechanical, maintenance, or skilled trades work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
