Base pay range
$15.00/hr - $16.00/hr

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining the Camp-Resort’s facilities, structures, and utilities, keeping them operable and in top condition. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintenance Technician I is the entry-level class in the Maintenance Technician series. Under close supervision, entry-level duties are assigned in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and facilities at the Resort.
Duties & Responsibilities
- General Duties
- Monitor and maintain the condition of the Camp-Resort’s property, facilities, and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly
- Assist in planning and executing projects from start to finish
- Troubleshoot and perform a variety of entry-level duties under close supervision in the areas of:
- Basic repair/maintenance of doorknobs, locks, hinges, and gates, as required
- Carpentry
- Drywall and Painting communal areas and exterior walls
- Electrical (including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items)
- Plumbing (e.g., repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains)
- Administrative Duties
- Regularly update Maintenance Supervisor on the status of repairs, preventative maintenance, and other projects
- Maintains the necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems
- Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety. Including ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly documentation is being completed
- Other Essential Duties
- Comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and procedures
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
Education/Training/Experience
- 1-3 years of consistent and professional work experience in a variety of trades
- Trade certifications and licenses are highly desired
Qualifications/Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Work with minimal supervision
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
- Valid driver’s license
Essential Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Regularly move throughout the park
- Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
- Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
