Maintains and repairs streets, alleys, and storm sewers. Installs and maintains the City's water distribution and wastewater collection system. Prepares work sites and cleans equipment, job sites, and shop after completing assignments. Breaks out concrete for job preparation. Pours and finishes concrete. Maintains storm sewer inlet boxes. Flushes sewers to prevent stoppage. Responds to after hour emergencies.
Ability to sit, stand, and drive a vehicle to and from various work sites. Ability to bend, lift, stoop, and be in confined space areas. Employee will work in extreme temperatures installing, repairing, and testing systems and equipment. Ability to work with mechanical, chemical, electrical, environmental, and biological hazards while repairing vehicles and equipment. Must be able to lift up to approximately 100 pounds regularly.
*This position is eligible for CDL Certification Pay of $80 per week for employees who have a valid Class A or B Texas Commercial Drivers license.
