Job summary

NVR’s Thurmont Manufacturing Plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team on day shift. You will be the go-to person for electrical issues and also handle non-electrical maintenance tasks to keep the facility running smoothly.

Pay starts at $26.75 per hour with variation based on experience, skills, and location. The role offers a fast-paced environment, opportunities for growth, and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as an industrial maintenance technician
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics
• Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment
• Must meet physical requirements of the job
• Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting and safety repairs, as directed
• Work independently or as part of a team to support maintenance and facility needs
• Follow maintenance schedules for routine preventive and corrective tasks
• Perform welding, grinding, fabrication, and flame cutting as required
• Maintain a clean facility and assist with general housekeeping
• Remove snow and ice when needed
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Assist other maintenance technicians and develop skills
• Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties as assigned

NVR’s Manufacturing Plant in Thurmont,MD is looking to add a team member to our maintenance team. While you will be the “go to” person for installing/fixing electrical issues you will also be expected to perform non-electrical maintenance work. Day shift hours are 5:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Pay rate starts at $26.75 per hour.Individual pay is determined by factors including the candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and location.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting and safety repairs, as directed.
• Work independently, and as part of a team, to contribute to the maintenance department & facility in general, and perform other miscellaneous duties as instructed.
• Utilize generated maintenance schedules to perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Perform welding, grinding, fabrication, and flame cutting, as required, to implement general facility repairs.
• Conduct housekeeping tasks and operate equipment, as needed, to maintain a clean facility.
• Remove snow and ice, when weather conditions warrant.
• Operate in accordance with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• May assist other Maintenance Technicians in their day-to-day operations and assignments, in preparation to assume more responsibilities and further develop technical skillsets.
• Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties, as assigned

• 1 year experience as an industrial maintenance technician
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics
• Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, more details available upon interview
• Will be required to demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge
