Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I for on-site work in Morehead, Kentucky. You will develop troubleshooting and repair skills under guidance from senior technicians, with clear pathways to Technician II or III positions.

• Technical degree completed within four years of placement is required for continued eligibility.
• Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude testing is required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Complete basic to intermediate mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Learn electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain equipment records and complete work orders utilizing computerized maintenance management systems.
• Support equipment installations and modifications.
• Work alongside Maintenance Technician II and III personnel during troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following all applicable safety procedures.
• Attend and successfully complete training sessions provided by the Company and/or various vendors to increase knowledge in particular areas and for specific equipment.
• Collaborate with support areas to resolve issues and improve facility operations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Failure to meet this requirement will result in loss of the position.* Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude testing is required.* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required.* Willingness to work nonstandard shifts and weekends as needed.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.* Ability to lift, move, and manipulate items weighing up to 55 lbs.**Preferred Qualifications and Skills*** Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills.* Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.* Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic certifications.* Prior hands-on experience working on CNC equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders with a preference toward Okuma, Haas, and Doosan machines.* Highly self-sufficient and motivated to solve problems, address root causes effectively, and drive improvement across multiple areas.* Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.* Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.**Physical Demands and Work Environment*** **Physical Demands -** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
