Job summary

PorchLight Services in Kentucky is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install and maintain production equipment and plant facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLC and HVAC tasks.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED with a craft apprenticeship and 4+ years manufacturing experience; strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with an apprenticeship or equivalent manufacturing training.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC exposure and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.

• Read and interpret manuals and PM work orders to perform required maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance(PM) of production and facility equipment as well as emergency/unscheduled repairs of any such equipment when necessary.
• Documents all investigations and diagnoses made along with work performed, parts replaced and testing conducted to return a piece of equipment to normal acceptable operating conditions.
• Perform general maintenance/repair tasks, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical,pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, troubleshooting and repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and PM work orders to perform required maintenance andservice.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Use a variety of hand and bench power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment inperforming duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to propersupervisor.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of yearsof education and production maintenance experience
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skillswith some PLC experience and HVAC

Physical Job Requirements
