Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on machine repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, and fabrication projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor through CMMS.

The candidate should have 3+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience, ability to read blueprints, and comfortable working with machining tools. Position includes various shifts and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned equipment PM activities as scheduled by CMMS.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform machining operations using lathe, mill, drill press, and bandsaws.
• Perform fabrication projects using welding and bolted assembly.
• Enter work activity into CMMS accurately.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in maintenance shop.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

MaintenanceTechnician Job Summary:

An automotive manufacturing companybased in Grand Rapids, MI is hiringMaintenance Technicians to their team.The Maintenance Technician 1 performs machine repairs, fabrication projects, and preventive /predictive maintenance activities. The Maintenance Technician 1 performs preventive maintenance work as assigned and scheduled by the CMMS. Maintenance Technician 1 responds to machine repair calls and projects as assigned or directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

MaintenanceTechnician Responsibilities:

• Completion of assigned equipment PM activities as scheduled by CMMS
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Perform machining operations using lathe, mill, drill press, and bandsaws
• Perform fabrication projects using welding and bolted assembly
• Complete and accurately enter work activity into CMMS
• Daily housekeeping and 5S of work areas and maintenance shop
• Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and requirements

• Other duties as assigned

Schedule & Pay:

• 7am-3pm (2nd shift), Monday-Friday
• 11pm-7am (3rd shift), Monday-Friday
• 7am-7pm (4th shift), Friday-Sunday
• 7pm-7am (5th shift), Friday-Sunday

• $26-$28/hour

MaintenanceTechnician Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret and understand blueprints and schematics
• 3+ years’ experience completing mechanical troubleshooting and repair; automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to communicate effectively with various departments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• This role requires successful completion of pre-employment screens including a background check and drug screen
