Job summary

TMS International is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform heavy equipment maintenance and repairs in a steel mill environment. You will conduct preventative maintenance, diagnose issues with the repair team, and keep accurate repair records while ensuring safety and efficiency.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Birmingham, AL with shift options including nights and overtime; prior welding, electrical, and conveyor belt experience are a plus to support our operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Electrical and conveyor belt experience preferred.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license with ability to pass background/drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy equipment maintenance and repairs per factory/industry standards.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including inspection and oil changes.
• Maintain parts inventory and shop cleanliness.
• Collaborate with repair team to diagnose equipment problems.
• Maintain accurate and organized repair records.

Maintenance Technician.

The successful candidate will have the ability to perform heavy equipment maintenance and repair work in accordance with factory and industry standards, while meeting company goals.

The duties include but are not limited to:

• Preferred Experience in industrial maintenance experience
• Welding experience preferred
• Electrical and conveyor belt experience preferred
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including inspection, and oil changes
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop

• Maintain accurate and organized records of each repair performed on equipment
