Nucor in Belvidere, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on steel fabrication equipment, ensuring safe and efficient production.

You will repair, troubleshoot, and install components, assist in safety upgrades, and support the fabrication division with machine reliability; OSHA 30 preferred, two years of experience required, and legal work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum two years of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams; OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate alignment with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning of equipment, systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to maintain safety and production efficiency.
• Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs.
• Train key shop teammates on new equipment or modifications.
• Maintain repair records and comply with housekeeping standards.
