Job summary

Springbrook NY, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician responsible for diagnostics and repairs to buildings and equipment, and for guiding a team in preventative maintenance and repairs of the organization’s physical housing and education facilities.

This role requires strong planning, estimating labor and materials, on-call availability, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is expected; vaccination requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Minimum five years in maintenance/construction with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical trades.
• Ability to estimate time, cost and materials for repairs.
• Great problem-solving and scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs to buildings/equipment.
• Performs installation, repair and maintenance in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and masonry.
• Documents project completion details.
• Maintains tools, equipment and vehicles; monitors safety practices.
• Generates labor, time, cost and material estimates.
• Ensures inventory is maintained and materials tracked.
• May supervise others; on-call maintenance availability.
