Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician at The Breakwater in New Albany, IN. You’ll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and respond to resident requests to keep the property in excellent condition.

You have a high school diploma or equivalent, HVAC/EPA certifications are a plus, and hands-on maintenance experience. The role involves after-hours calls, on-call rotation, and occasional weekend work to ensure safety and comfort for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep systems in excellent condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Prioritize and complete work orders with the maintenance supervisor and property manager.
• Ensure property safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers to prepare units for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls.
• Participate in an on-call rotation; weekend work as needed.
