Job summary

Alta Gardens Care Center in Garden Grove, CA is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to keep the facility clean, safe, and comfortable. You will help operate, repair, and maintain boilers, HVAC, generators, and electrical/plumbing systems according to standards.

Requires 1–3 years’ experience with mechanical systems, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of building codes and safety rules, and a high school diploma. Healthcare facility experience is a plus; we offer competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience in the operation of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, etc.
• Knowledgeable in building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance practices.
• Licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
• Ability to plan and carry out repair programs, new construction, and equipment installation.
• Ability to control and track direct spending and labor budgets.

Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Department by ensuring the facility environment is clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Assist with the operation, repair, and maintenance of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, and other equipment in accordance with standards.
