Job summary

Georgia Southern University is seeking a Maintenance Technician - HVAC to perform routine and semi-skilled HVAC maintenance work, assisting skilled employees and ensuring systems operate properly.

You will handle tasks such as changing filters, cleaning equipment, lubricating components, and assisting with installation under supervision, requiring safety awareness and the ability to read blueprints. A high school diploma plus experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two+ years related work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and work order instructions.
  • Proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office, Google) as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
  • Perform basic tasks such as changing filters, cleaning equipment, lubricating components, and maintaining work areas.
  • Assist with the installation, removal, and replacement of basic HVAC components and equipment under supervision.
  • Use basic hand and power tools to support HVAC maintenance and repair activities.
  • Reports equipment issues, unusual conditions, and needed repairs to higher- level HVAC employees or supervisors.

Job Summary

Perform routine and semi-skilled HVAC maintenance work whileassisting skilled employees with routine maintenance and repairs.Assists with routine and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipmentto help keep systems operating properly.

Responsibilities
  • Assists skilled HVAC employees with routine inspection,maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, andair-conditioning systems
  • Performs basic tasks such as changing filters, cleaningequipment, lubricating components, and maintaining work areas
  • Assists with the installation, removal, and replacement ofbasic HVAC components and equipment under supervision
  • Uses basic hand and power tools to support HVAC maintenance andrepair activities
  • Reports equipment issues, unusual conditions, and neededrepairs to higher- level HVAC employees or supervisors
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years related work experience
Proposed Salary

$17.13 - $20.96 per hour

This is an exempt position paid on a biweeklybasis.
