Job summary

Allied Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Seattle to support the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of apartments, common areas, and amenities, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents.

You will participate in contracted projects, maintain building systems, and assist with turnovers. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced property

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or relevant certifications preferred.
• 1 year of maintenance-related experience or equivalent education/training.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and adapt to priorities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied conditions.
• Commitment to excellent customer service to residents and colleagues.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician supports the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring the property's buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of apartment units, common areas, and amenities, as well as assisting with contracted projects and property improvements. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering a positive resident experience by maintaining a clean, orderly, and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and renovations to buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Inspect property to identify maintenance needs, determine scope of work, and recommend solutions.
• Assist with contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Purchase building and maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in adhering to departmental budgets.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, grounds, and amenities.
• Assist with unit turns and preparation for new move-ins.
• Attend and participate in required meetings, safety trainings, and professional development sessions.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary based on experience plus potential bonuses
• 152 hours (19 days) PTO annually, plus carry-over up to 120 hours and longevity PTO at 6 and 10 years
