Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group seeks a Maintenance Technician for Hotel Boulderado to perform hands-on maintenance across guest rooms and public spaces. You will handle carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring safety and guest comfort.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, timely completion of work orders, and collaboration with front desk. Weekend/evening availability and a valid MVR are required for certain tasks within the hotel environment.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge and electrical/plumbing/carpentry basics required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred (3+ years).
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in guest rooms, buildings and common areas.
• Repair and install appliances with minimal supervision.
• Repair plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems as needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs general maintenance in guest units, buildings, and common areas
• Will have a working knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools, as well as for repairing and troubleshooting carpentry, plumbing, electric, and HVAC issues
• Repairs and installs appliances as needed with minimal supervision
• Performs maintenance to plumbing such as pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, tubs, etc.
• Prevents and troubleshoots electrical issues on equipment, fixtures, outlets and switches
• Inspects and performs preventative maintenance in units and public areas
• Reports, responds to, and repairs safety issues in guest units, buildings, pools, common areas , and equipment
• Completes all daily assignments in a timely manner
• Prioritizes work orders against daily assignments, keeping in constant contact with the department and/or the front desk to update jobs completed
• Maintains the appearance of the property by picking trash and debris, responding and mopping up spills, cleaning exterior and interior fixtures, watering plants seasonally, pressure washing, cutting grass and removing weeds.
• Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.
• Applies wallpaper, paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete, and wood.
• Snow removal .
• Assist Valet Dept when busy with parking and retrieving guest vehicles (Must have a clean MVR and pass a 4-panel drug screen) .
• Assist Housekeeping when needed . Move laundry, vacuum.
• Maintain laundry equipment
• Available to work weekends , holidays and evenings
• HVAC filter changes, motor and pump lubrication, evaporator and condenser cleaning .
• Drive to shop for parts and supplies. Must have a clean MVR
• Carpet cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (3) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
