Job summary

Merete Hotel Management in Springfield, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our hotel and grounds in top condition. You will perform routine upkeep and respond quickly to issues affecting guest comfort, safety, and aesthetics.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ maintenance experience in a commercial or residential environment preferred.
• Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
• HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills.
• Certification in pool operation preferred.
• Meet minimum age requirements and have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, painted surfaces, change burned out light bulbs and other cosmetic repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
• Maintain and repair equipment in laundry, guest rooms and public areas.
• Repair irrigation and sprinkler systems.
• Maintain pool and pool area, may include a hot tub.
• Inform manager on job status and project status; communicate parts and material needs.
• Attend all mandatory meetings; complete other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Maintain safety and follow standard operating procedures; ensure reliable attendance.
