Job summary

MHG Hotels LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Boca Raton to ensure guest comfort and safety. You will perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas, respond to repair requests, and keep equipment in optimal condition.

The role requires a friendly demeanor, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with a team to maintain high service standards. The position offers full-time and flexible shifts, with room for growth in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• The Maintenance Technician role requires standing for long periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, including beds and fixtures.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
• Display knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and general building skills.
• Perform surface prep, painting, drywall/wood repair, light bulb and filter replacement.
• Inspect grout and caulking; maintain pool and pool equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment and electrical components; program TVs.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures; report injuries and unsafe conditions.
• Protect company assets and maintain cross-department relationships.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Respond and attend to guest’s repair requests
• Communicate with guest/customers to resolve maintenance issues
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces a required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building
• Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trip repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and complete thorough clean-up of painting or repair area
• Inspecting and repairing grout and caulking
• Maintain pool, chemicals, and pool equipment
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment (i.e., plunge toilets, change toilet seats, and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program TV’s and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
• Follow company safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions
• Protect company assets
• Develop relationships with all departments and communicate regularly

Minimum Requirements:

The Maintenance Technician. role requires standing for long periods of time, or entire shifts. Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
