Job summary

LGH in Carlstadt, NJ is seeking a mechanically inclined individual to maintain rental equipment and ensure its immediate availability for safe use. You will inspect, repair, test and calibrate a variety of hoisting and rigging gear, while performing routine maintenance to reduce downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, and experience with hand/power tools. DOT certification and a valid driver's license are required; work involves driving and forklift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical background or aptitude preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools preferred.
• Experience with air hoists and rigging equipment beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment orders and conduct inspections to meet quality standards.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test electrical, hand-operated, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Operate forklift to load/unload vehicles and move equipment within the warehouse.
• Drive company vehicles to transport rental orders safely and on time.
