Job summary

Staffmark Group in Alabaster, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician Helper for the 1st shift. You will assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Pay range is $23.00-$25.00 per hour with competitive weekly pay. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, some technical training, and experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical school or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

Assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility issues.
Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment, conveyors, and production systems.
Use hand and power tools safely.
Inspect equipment and report issues.
Assist with replacing belts, bearings, hoses, filters and other components.
Keep maintenance areas and tools clean and organized.
Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
Perform general facility maintenance as directed.
