Job summary

Novipax Paxinos in Paxinos, PA is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure continuous operation of plant machinery and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with minor repairs on trucks, forklifts, and building components.

The role requires safe operation of Jib Cranes, lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools, along with welding/brazing as needed. A strong focus on safety and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Maintenance technicians are expected to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Operate machinery safely and follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all equipment and provides process troubleshooting as needed.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed parts.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must be able to do minor welding, brazing and cutting torch.
• Be able to do minor repairs to truck, forklifts, etc.
• Operate Jib Cranes and Forklifts in safe manner.
• Wear safety equipment and obey safety rules.
• Be able to make minor repairs to building through the use of masonry, carpentry and/or cement work.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
• May work in other areas throughout the plant.
• And / or other duties as may be assigned.
• Report any Food Safety Problem to senior management.
• Initiates purchase order requests for parts a machine.
