Job summary

Plaza Hotel El Paso is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and repair maintenance to keep the hotel in top shape and guest satisfaction high. You will handle ceiling tiles, sheetrock, painting, basic electrical, and minor plumbing while applying safe work practices.

The role emphasizes sustainability via EarthView guidelines, adherence to MSDS/OSHA, and willingness to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders related to replacing and repairing ceiling tiles, sheet-rock and wallpaper.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Focus on guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing department and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
