Job summary

Guardian has a need for a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant at Alder House in Portland, OR. Alder House is a 130-unit LIHTC community in SW Portland, seeking a team member to assist with cleaning and basic property maintenance.

The role includes processing work orders, following OSHA regulations, and meeting Guardian policies. Training is provided; the schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and product use.
• Basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, raking.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Complete company training requirements within deadlines and attend required training.

Responsibilities

• Walk property grounds daily to ensure grounds are clean and property has excellent curb appeal.
• Walk common areas daily, clean and maintain all common areas.
• Maintain common areas, entryways, and dumpster/recycling areas daily.
• Identify property problems and repairs in structural, electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
• Respond to service requests and complete work orders promptly under supervision.
• Keep model units and offices neat and presentable.
