City of Parkland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities Division. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks on municipal facilities and infrastructure, using hand and power tools, and operating light equipment.

The role emphasizes safe work practices and teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the physical ability to perform strenuous labor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform manual labor.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance and safety rules.
• Able to work in varying weather and shift schedules.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on City facilities and infrastructure.
• Operate light trucks and various power equipment.
• Maintain landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks as assigned.
• Install and repair irrigation systems; conduct routine inspections.
• Assist in custodial duties and set up for events.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in storm readiness.
