Job summary

The Maintenance Technician and Groundskeeper role at Sea Bluffs, Ivy Signature Living, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, is responsible for maintaining the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and resident units in line with our mission and values.

Responsibilities include basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, assisting with apartment turnovers, and grounds maintenance including pool and spa.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in building maintenance, maintenance and/or housekeeping.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal skills to communicate with staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas and resident units.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa where applicable.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues.

Full Time AM Shift, 8AM-4:30PM, and Monday-Friday

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
