Job summary

Vibra Healthcare in Florence, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role is entry level with on‑the‑job training and involves maintaining our facility and equipment to high safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year in a building or mechanical field, and may have electrical, plumbing, or HVAC knowledge. This on‑site position offers a collaborative environment with emphasis on patient care support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in building or mechanical field required.
  • Electrician and/or other maintenance certification preferred. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner per applicable standards and policies.
  • Assist with general repairs as needed and perform preventive maintenance on schedule.
  • Maintain a safe environment and follow safety practices to avoid injuries.
  • May be assigned security responsibilities.

Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! Entry Level, Will Train!

Hospital Details

Gateway Rehab, located in Florence, KY is a 40 bed inpatient rehab providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and Local standards, guidelines and regulations, and established policies and procedures. Assists with general repairs as needed. Performs preventive maintenance according to prescribed schedule. Maintains a safe environment and follows safety policies and procedures for equipment. Adheres to and follows established procedures and safety practices to avoid injuries. This position may also be assigned security responsibilities.

Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working in building or mechanical field required.
Additional Qualifications/Skills
  • Electrician and/or other maintenance certification preferred. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
