Job summary

Land & Mortgage of South Carolina, Inc. (doing business as Palmetto Woods) is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to service homes and the community. Responsibilities include HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and landscaping in a fast-paced environment.

You will document work, participate in safety meetings, and respond to maintenance requests after hours as needed. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of maintenance experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and a zero-turn mower.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems.
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
• Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends.
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to ensure efficient operation and perform repairs.
• Inspect homes for structural damage to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform home repairs including sheetrock, painting, flooring, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
• Outdoor maintenance including landscaping, maintaining structures, outdoor painting and power washing; roofing and under-home repairs may be needed.
• Submit records of work completed and maintain maintenance repair logs for equipment.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and maintain a safety-first approach.
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed.
