+ We are hiring immediately for a full-time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position.

+ Location: Canteen - 100 North Pendleton Street, High Point, NC 27260. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some weekends required. More details upon interview.

+ Requirement: Prior experience in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and computer skills preferred.

+ Pay Range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of maintenance duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include:

1. Maintains, repairs, cleans, and operates the plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.
2. Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned; contacts supervisors, skilled trade vendors, or on-call personnel as instructed.
3. Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using company tech systems.
4. Provides fleet maintenance support including welding, plumbing, electrical, food truck kitchen maintenance, vehicle driving, troubleshooting, generator repairs, and general maintenance.
5. Assists in minor and routine repairs; reports major problems to supervisors.
6. Cleans sidewalks and parking areas; disposes of trash and debris.
7. Operates electrical and gasoline-powered equipment.
8. Maintains equipment; performs minor repairs with tools.
9. Performs unskilled or semi-skilled tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, lamp changing, and drywall maintenance.
10. Responds to emergency problems; performs emergency repairs.
11. Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes work orders, tests, and inspections.
12. Reads and transmits detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
13. Serves as a member of the emergency response team.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications may include:

• One year of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician or grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to high heat, noise, dust, dirt, and areas requiring infection control.
• Must meet deadlines and work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary.
