ESFM is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician in Canóvanas, PR to support facility engineering and maintenance functions. You’ll lead a small team, ensure quality, and assist with training while handling escalations.

Responsibilities include building system diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs across electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. Strong license and journeyman credentials are required alongside 2–5 years of handyman experience.

Qualificações

• 2-5 years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsabilidades

• Paints doors and walls, prepares surfaces, priming and finishing. Reports major problems to supervisor.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Cleans, services and repairs HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to team members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and drafts punch lists.
• Maintains logs and completes work orders and inspections.

We have an opening for a full time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position.

Location: AZ iPR Baseline - 188, San Isidro Industria, Canovanas, PR 00729 Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday - Friday, hours may vary. Some weekends as required. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 2-5 years of handyman experience required.

Pay Range:$12.50per hour to$13.25per hour

Job Summary

Summary:
Performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance functions, while providing field leadership, ensuring quality assurance, supporting training efforts, and managing escalations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Paints doors and interior/exterior walls, including surface preparation, priming, touch-ups, and clean finishing. Assists in making decisions on all normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment. Experience with drywall repair and maintenance.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar specialty equipment items with appropriate training, certification skills and licensing requirements as needed.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complicated detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
• Reports on and repairs discrepancies as assigned.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Serves as a member of facility emergency response team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Must have one of the following:

• Master license in one trade or two of the following: Journeyman Electrical License or Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver's license.
