Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waterbury is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to operate department equipment and perform general facility maintenance in a hospital environment. You will help ensure safety for employees, patients, and visitors while supporting routine repairs and preventive tasks.

The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience (hospital experience preferred) and a flexible, team-oriented approach. On-site work with comprehensive benefits available to full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Electrical maintenance license preferred but not required; training available.
• 1–2 years in general maintenance; hospital maintenance experience preferred.

The Maintenance Tech. I is responsible for the operation of department equipment and general maintenance of the facility & equipment. These duties are performed in accordance with all applicable standards to provide a safe environment of care for employees, patients, & visitors of all ages. Other responsibilities include security in the absence of a security officer and other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. An electrical maintenance license preferred but not required (can train).
• Experience: One to two years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. General Maintenance background experience required, hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.
