Job summary

LSS of South Dakota is seeking a reliable maintenance professional to keep spaces safe, functional, and well-maintained. The role involves hands-on work, preventative maintenance, janitorial duties, and responding to emergencies. Travel between LSS locations in Sioux Falls is required.

A valid driver's license and ability to meet auto-insurance requirements are necessary. Full-time or part-time options are available; benefits and bonuses are offered for eligible employees, with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, plus some building maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, repair, or locate sources to complete repairs.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Self-starter who can multi-task and prioritize daily.
• Must complete agency background checks.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities in accordance with safety and maintenance standards; maintenance of grounds and parking areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance, upkeep, janitorial duties, and repairs as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls and may work in adverse weather.
• Travel amongst LSS locations within Sioux Falls.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for maintaining facilities in accordance with generally approved safety and maintenance standards; maintenance of grounds and parking areas in accordance with generally approved safety and maintenance standards. Will perform preventative maintenance, upkeep, janitorial duties, and repairs as needed. Respond to emergency calls. May work in adverse weather conditions. Travel amongst our LSS locations within Sioux Falls.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED preferred, plus some building maintenance experience. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Problem‑solving skills required to troubleshoot, repair, or locate sources to complete repairing of equipment. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. The successful candidate should be a self‑starter, and have a strong ability to multi‑task and prioritize on a daily basis. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Agency auto insurance requirements.
