Job summary

Lifespace Communities is hiring for a Maintenance role at Oak Trace in Downers Grove, Illinois. The position involves performing maintenance tasks, completing preventive maintenance, and assisting with refurbishment projects to keep facilities in excellent condition.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least one year of building maintenance experience and relevant certifications as needed by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Identify deficiencies and follow procedures for correcting problems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies and notify supervisors for replacements.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment including hand/power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.

• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.

And here's what you need to apply:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical education preferred.
• A minimum of one-year experience working in building maintenance or construction.
• Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
• A state issued driver's license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
