Job summary

IRCA Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support the bakery/pastry manufacturing lines. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades in a food manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with operators and other maintenace team members to ensure reliable production and adherence to safety standards. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in maintenance, strong welding and refrigeration experience, and the ability to read prints.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years maintenance mechanic experience preferred.
• Technical school training or related certification.
• Two-year technical degree in maintenance field.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Welding and power transmission experience.
• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Good English reading/writing for safety docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document results.
• Repair malfunctioning equipment using a final task methodology.
• Plan projects, equipment upgrades and installations.
• Assist line and machine operators as needed.
• Provide essential documentation and root-cause analysis support.
• Contribute to HACCP procedures with other departments.
• Adapt to changing environments and priorities.

This transformative deal would create a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including completion of all related documentation.


• Repairs malfunctioning equipment using a \"final task\" methodology.


• Project planning, equipment upgrades and modification, new installation.


• Provides assistance to line and machine operators.


• Provides essential documentation and completes research for root cause analysis when needed.


• Affirms maintenance role in the HACCP procedure along with all other departments.


• Able to assess and function effectively in an ever-changing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanical and electrical ability as defined.


• HS diploma or GED.


• Demonstrated work experience in a food manufacturing environment.


• Technical school training in the form of certified courses, technical degree or related experience.


• Ten years of experience as a full-time maintenance mechanic or in a related field.


• Able to maintain presence of mind und stressful conditions; accept change.


• Two-year technical degree in a maintenance related field.


• Food and maintenance related experience.


• Welding and mechanical power transmission.


• Facility and utility support equipment training or experience.


• Refrigeration and/or ammonia refrigeration experience or training.


• Ability to read and understand prints.


• Appropriate English language ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.


• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
