Job summary

Irca Group in Missouri is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support our food manufacturing operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and participate in equipment upgrades.

Responsibilities include documenting work, supporting HACCP, and assisting line operators in a dynamic plant environment. A two-year technical degree and prior maintenance experience in food manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated work experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• HS diploma or GED with maintenance training.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in a maintenance-related field.
• Ability to read and understand prints and manuals.
• Welding and refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks with documentation.
• Repair malfunctioning equipment using a final task methodology.
• Plan projects, upgrade and modify equipment, and install new systems.
• Assist line and machine operators and provide relevant support.
• Provide essential documentation and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Support HACCP procedures across departments and adapt to changing conditions.

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including completion of all related documentation.
• Repairs malfunctioning equipment using a “final task” methodology.
• Project planning, equipment upgrades and modification, new installation.
• Provides assistance to line and machine operators.
• Provides essential documentation and completes research for root cause analysis when needed.
• Affirms maintenance role in the HACCP procedure along with all other departments.
• Able to assess and function effectively in an ever-changing environment.

• Mechanical and electrical ability as defined.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated work experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Technical school training in the form of certified courses, technical degree or related experience.
• Ten years of experience as a full-time maintenance mechanic or in a related field.
• Able to maintain presence of mind und stressful conditions; accept change.
• Two-year technical degree in a maintenance related field.
• Food and maintenance related experience.
• Welding and mechanical power transmission.
• Facility and utility support equipment training or experience.
• Refrigeration and/or ammonia refrigeration experience or training.
• Ability to read and understand prints.
• Appropriate English language ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
