Job description

Core Linen Services is a leader in hospital and hospitality laundry processing services across the country. Our focus is on service, quality, and safety, enabling our clients to provide essential services to their patients and guests. The company operates in over 20 states and is a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, based in Miami, FL.

Summary:

Performs all scheduled and non-scheduled daily tasks. Responsible for maintaining awareness of all equipment assigned during production operations and ensuring efficient operation within a commercial laundry plant. Performs preventive maintenance and emergent repairs as needed. Identifies and corrects issues such as jams, bad or missing belts, and missing ironer tape. Seeks technical assistance from Engineering when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs preventive maintenance activities on equipment as scheduled.
2. Ensures timely and quality completion of all maintenance and repairs, including overhead rail and conveyor systems.
3. Assists technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, as needed.
4. Maintains the maintenance log, recording incomplete tasks and new problems.
5. Notifies Production Supervisors about the status of equipment that may impact production or cause downtime, and updates when back online.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be team-oriented and able to work independently or with a team. Willing to go the extra mile. Self-motivated, independent, prompt, and capable of handling tasks as they arise. Solid communication skills.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely. Understanding of safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Good working knowledge of machinery, including mechanical drive systems, conveyor systems, and overhead rail systems. Ability to assist in repairing and maintaining these systems.
