Job summary

Meyer Distributing in Carlisle, PA is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, plus PIT equipment repairs.

This position may be full-time or part-time. The role requires a High School diploma, a valid PA driver’s license, and initial on-the-job training. Travel to Sinking Spring, PA will be required for maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certification: Requires a valid PA driver’s license.
• Training: Minimum one month on the job training required.
• Experience: Previous warehouse maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• PIT mechanic for Carlisle and Sinking Spring facilities (including forklift, manlift, dock plates and dock door repairs).
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry maintenance and general building maintenance.
• Perform physical PIT equipment inspections daily.
• Make repairs in the facility to include painting, drywall, basic plumbing, racking, etc.
• Seasonal groundskeeping duties such as mowing grass, weed eating, general landscaping, snow removal, etc.
• Use of company truck to travel between facilities.
• All other duties as assigned.
