Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. in Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our egg production and processing facility. You will perform minor to major equipment repairs during both non-production and production times to keep operations running smoothly.

This role requires hands-on maintenance, attention to safety, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Experience in food manufacturing and maintenance certification are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Experience in food manufacturing maintenance desirable.
• Familiarity with safety programs (Confined Space, LOTO, Hazcom, Hot Work, Electrical Safety).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access and replace defective parts.
• Maintain food processing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (motors, bearings, belts, fluids, filters).
• Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical work, install new equipment).
• Document all maintenance performed including preventative maintenance.
• Identify required parts and notify supervisor.
• Notify facility supervisors before maintenance in food handling areas.
• Remove tools and debris and ensure sanitation after maintenance.
