Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our egg production and processing facility. The role focuses on completing minor to major equipment repairs during non-production and production times.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain food processing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are met before operations resume.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Previous maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or processing.
• Knowledge of safety programs such as Confined Space, LOTO, Hazcom, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, etc.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access parts for repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment; inspect motors, bearings, belts, fluids and replace filters.
• Carry out general maintenance including plumbing, electrical work and installation of new equipment.
• Document maintenance performed and required parts.
