Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our egg production and processing facility. The role focuses on completing minor to major equipment repairs during non-production and production times.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain food processing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document all activities for PM programs. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols is required.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma required.
Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
First Aid/CPR certification required.
Experience in maintenance in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
Familiarity with safety programs such as confined space, LOTO and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Dismantle machines to access and remove defective parts for repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including motors, bearings, belts and filters.
Document all maintenance and PM activities for tracking.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment; use voltmeters and ammeters as needed.
Operate and maintain boiler; monitor chemical usage and records.
Maintain ammonia/glycol refrigeration systems and related records.
Fabrication/welding as necessary for repairs and upgrades.
Order parts and manage work orders; notify supervisors as required.
