Producers Rice Mill is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to service instrumentation and PLCs on plant equipment. You will interpret schematics, perform ladder logic basics, and install or repair automated systems and switchgear. Training is provided to stay current on industry standards.
The role emphasizes electromechanical troubleshooting, adherence to safety and GMP rules, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a schedule involving nights and overtime as needed.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00p.m. to 7:30a.m., including overtime as needed.
Responsible for maintaining instrumentation and PLC’s on plant equipment. Understand or successfully complete training on basic PLC programming /ladder logic. Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex equipment including automatic/robotic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls and switch gears. Attend training to stay current on industry standards; learn programming language as time permits. Perform tasks generally associated with electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of plant and facility equipment. Follow all policies and procedures (safety standards and GMP’), maintain required company records and forms, report any defective equipment or questionable conditions to the appropriate person(s). Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
