Job summary

Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart, AR seeks an Automated Equipment Technician assistant to learn preventative maintenance on robot baggers, bag fill systems, conveyors and palletizers. You will help program, troubleshoot and adjust robot systems to handle all bag sizes and pallet patterns.

You will maintain spare parts, perform greasing, wiring and safe maintenance while keeping accurate records. Lifting up to 100 pounds, working in hot/cold temps, and responding to callouts are required; welding

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined and able to read, speak, write and understand fluent English.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and tolerate hot/cold temperatures.
• Willingness to respond to callouts within 35 minutes and maintain maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and inspections of robot baggers, bag fill systems, conveyors and palletizers.
• Learn to program, troubleshoot and adjust robot systems for all bag sizes and pallet patterns.
• Maintain spare parts for robot equipment, conveyors and palletizers; perform greasing and part replacements.
• Assist with wiring, maintenance tasks, and reconciliation of tools to prevent contamination; welding/cutting is a plus.

Description/Job Summary

SAFETY SENSTIVE POSITION

Schedule: Monday 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. overtime as needed, including weekends and callouts.

Job Summary: Learn and assist Automated Equipment Technician with conducting preventative maintenance, inspections of equipment on robot baggers and beg fil systems, and robot/automatic palletizers. Must learn to program, trouble shoot and change the program to fill all bag sizes and pallet patterns, inspect conveyors associated with robotic equipment and palletizers. Maintain spare parts for all robot equipment, conveyors and palletizers. Learn to conduct maintenance activities including but not limited to, greasing, parts/equipment replacement, troubleshooting equipment, control wiring and wiring motors. Assist with product protection during maintenance and reconciliation of parts and tools to prevent contamination issues. Welding / cutting as necessary for structure repair is a plus but not required.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand fluent English.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 100 pounds as needed.
• Must be willing and able to tolerate work in hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
• Must be available for callouts and able to respond within 35 minutes.
• Must be willing and able to maintain maintenance records.
• Must be willing and able to be trained to operate robots and palletizers.
• Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and turn as needed throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to learn electrical wiring of motors and troubleshoot, robotic equipment, conveyors and palletizers.
• Must be willing and able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Must be willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor.
