Job summary

The Villa at Stamford is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a dedicated, team-oriented facility. We strive to keep residents and staff comfortable and happy by providing all tools and support needed to succeed. Immediate onboarding is available and growth is encouraged.

As a Maintenance Technician you will perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks, while delivering outstanding customer service to residents and staff in a hands-on, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (technical schooling and/or training preferred).
• Valid Driver License, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report is required.
• Minimum two to four years’ previous work experience with painting, and other general maintenance duties in a complex commercial, industrial, healthcare setting.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively.
• Must have a passion for excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Technician performs general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, service calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
• Performs building and equipment repairs, with moderate plumbing and electrical, and some carpentry.
• Completes resident room turnovers, including minor repairs, touchup painting, and restoring resident rooms to original condition.
• Instructs residents on how to use their thermostats, TV remotes, bed controls, etc.
• Provides excellent customer service to residents.
