Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Rolla, Kansas is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to keep animal production facilities running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair, install and inspect systems including feed, water, ventilation, and control equipment, and you may weld and assist with fabrications.

The role requires a two-year technical degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license; you must be able to read instructions, apply math concepts, and be on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or greater; or 1–3 months experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect systems for animal production facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices as needed.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine maintenance needs.
• Welding of building equipment and fabrications for penning or gating.
• On-call availability for emergency situations.
