Shift and Schedule Details

• Generally, this role is a 6:00 am - 2:30 pm / 40/hr week assignment.
• During busy seasons, workers may need to work a second or third shift for a period of time, generally for a few weeks and with notice.
• During harvest, workers may also be required to work longer days and/or weekends due to weather conditions and business needs.

Suggested Pay Rates per Shift

• Shift 1: $21.00
• Shift 2: $22.00 (1.00 differential)
• Shift 3: $21.75 (0.75 differential)

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work meets Corteva safety standards through consistent practices.
• Support plant operations through corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools; assist and complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
• Assist in maintaining detailed equipment records.
• Working with Operations to ensure maintenance activities are completed without interrupting production.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills

• Holds a valid US driver's license.
• Possess basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn, understand, and apply mechanical concepts.
• Demonstrates problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations helpful.
• Ability to safely perform duties in timely fashion while maintaining seed quality.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive as instructed.
• Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces*.
• Always maintains safety standards and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.

• PPE: Over the ankle steel toe boots.
• Requires use of ladders and lifts: Ladders are 8ft. Tie off required for anything above 4ft. Lifts are no higher than 40ft with a tie off at all times.
