Job summary

Regency Multifamily in Champaign, IL is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on tasks, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC servicing across our properties. You will address work orders promptly, collaborate with teammates, and participate in after-hours on-call and snow removal as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of property maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property maintenance experience including appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
• EPA Certification (or willingness to obtain it within 90 days; Regency-paid).
• Ability to perform physical/hands-on tasks in various weather conditions.
• Self-starter and flexible team player with strong problem-solving instincts.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks in and around properties, including appliance repair and turns.
• Address maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Work closely with the team to keep operations running smoothly.
• After hours duties including rotating on-call and snow removal.

About the Position:

Job Duties Include:

• Performing hands‑on maintenance tasks in and around our properties including appliance repair, apartment turns, and other work order requests.
• Addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Working closely with the team to keep everything running smoothly
• After hours duties as necessary including rotating on‑call and snow removal

Job Requirements for all levels:

• Ability to perform physical/hands‑on tasks in various weather conditions
• Must be a self‑starter and flexible team player with strong problem‑solving instincts
• Eager to grow and learn, including expanding skills in the effective use of tools and equipment

Experienced Techs will also need:

• 2+ years of property maintenance experience including appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC
• Ability to independently troubleshoot repairs with strong attention to detail
• Willingness to mentor entry‑level team members on tool use and safety practices
• EPA Certification (or the willingness to obtain it within 90 days! Regency‑paid.)
