Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, floors, stairs and cabinets.
  • Conduct painting, patching and general cosmetic repairs to walls, ceilings and other surfaces.
  • Install or replace appliances, fixtures, and piping as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order indoor and outdoor spaces, including trash, recycling, and landscaping.
  • Respond promptly to client maintenance requests and document completed work.
  • Identify and report major repair needs or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Occasionally perform renovation or improvement projects, such as installing new doors, windows or flooring.

  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems
  • Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors
  • Supervising experience or leadership qualities to guide junior team members when needed
  • Ability to read technical schematics and understand complex mechanical or electrical systems in detail
  • Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities efficiently
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities upkeep
